1. Create an account
- Open the sign-up page and enter your email.
- Agree to the Terms of Service, the Public Offer Agreement and the Privacy Policy.
- Click "Create account".
- We'll send a 6-digit code to your email. Enter it to continue.
Instead of email, you can click "Continue with Google".
Strum doesn't use passwords: every time you sign in with email, we send you a new code.
Didn't get the code? Check your "Spam" folder. After 60 seconds, you can click "Resend".
2. Create a portfolio
A portfolio is a "basket" of assets for a specific purpose: retirement, dividends, crypto or experiments. Strum walks you through 4 short steps:
- Purpose. Choose what this portfolio is for, and Strum will suggest a name. You can change the purpose at any time.
- Name and currency. The portfolio currency is the base currency in which totals are calculated.
- Adding assets. Choose how to add assets (see below), or skip this step.
- Financial goal. Optionally, attach a goal: the amount and the year you want to reach. You can also add a goal later.
3. Add assets
There are three ways:
- Manually. Add a few purchases. It's the fastest way to start.
- From a file. Upload a broker report in CSV or Excel.
- Broker sync. Trades are pulled in automatically.
If you skipped this step, your portfolio is already created, and you can fill it at any time.
What's next
- Take a tour of Strum's sections so you know where to find things.
- If your broker isn't on the list, use the custom CSV import.
