A watchlist is a set of assets you keep an eye on. Watchlists don't depend on your portfolio: you can add an asset you don't own yet.
Open Watchlists in the main menu.
How to create a list
- Click "Create new watchlist".
- Name it, for example "Tech ideas" or "Dividend stocks".
- Click "Add Asset" and find the asset by ticker, name, or ISIN.
You can have several lists. It's easy to switch between them.
What you see for each asset
- the current price and the daily change;
- the change over 1 month, year to date (ytd), and 1 year;
- Price added (the price on the day you added the asset) and % Total — how much the price has changed since the day you added the asset;
- the target price, if you set one.
You can change the date added: "Edit Date". That way you can check how the asset would have changed if you had started watching it earlier.
"Returns map" shows the returns of the assets in the list visually.
Why a metric is missing
Metrics depend on data from the data provider. For assets on less liquid markets, over-the-counter instruments, or newly issued securities, the data may be delayed or missing. The asset stays in the list, and the field stays empty until the data appears.
Limits
The number of lists and the number of assets in them depend on your plan. If you reach the limit, Strum will offer to upgrade your plan.
