Tickers and exchange suffixes (.DE, .L and others)

The suffix after the dot in a ticker shows the exchange where the asset trades.

.DEXetra (Frankfurt)
.LLondon Stock Exchange
.PAEuronext Paris
.SWSwiss Exchange

A ticker without a suffix usually means a US exchange.

One asset, several tickers

The same asset can trade on several exchanges under different tickers. Even on a single exchange, it can have different tickers for different currencies.

Choose the exact ticker you bought through your broker. The position's price and currency depend on it.
