Importing from Freedom24

Freedom24 produces a single broker report that has everything: trades, cash movements, dividends and fees. The report is available in Excel, JSON and XML formats. Any of them imports the same way.

How to get the report

  1. Sign in to your Freedom24 account.
  2. Open the reports section and choose the broker report.
  3. Set the period starting from the day you opened the account.
  4. Download the report in Excel, JSON or XML format and add the file to Strum unchanged: profile → "Trade import" → "Upload statement" → "Upload Freedom24 report".

What gets imported

Operation in the reportWhat Strum creates
Buying and selling securitiesBuys and sells
Currency exchange (trades like EUR/USD)Currency exchanges between cash accounts
Trade commissionThe trade's fee (if it's in a different currency, also a currency exchange)
Bank transfer, card top-upDeposit or withdrawal

TaxesTax
Interest for the use of funds, other feesInterest and fee expenses
Dividend agent fee, ADR feeFees
Compensation for a fractional shareSale of the fractional share
SplitChange in the number of shares
Referral program payout, fees paid with pointsCash inflows

Not imported: holds and releases of funds. These are Freedom24's internal accounting, and the withdrawal itself is recorded separately in the report — otherwise it would be counted twice.

If an operation type isn't recognized, Strum doesn't lose the money: the row is imported and flagged for review.

Don't group operations

If you generate the report with grouping turned on, Freedom24 replaces the dates with the word "Grouped" and merges the amounts. A file like that can't be imported. Generate the report again without grouping.

Good to know

  • The account language doesn't matter. A report in Ukrainian, Russian or English imports the same way.
  • Importing again is safe. The same report, even in a different format, won't create duplicates.
  • Asset matching. Securities are matched by ISIN. Freedom24 adds its own market suffix to tickers (for example, ICSH.US, SYLD.EU). If an asset isn't found automatically, pick it once — after that, Strum remembers your choice.
  • Fee in a different currency. If the fee is charged in your tariff's currency rather than the trade's, Strum imports it as the trade's fee plus a currency exchange at Freedom24's rate. That keeps the cost basis and the balances in each currency correct.
